New Community Members / Bonjour !!! from France

I proposed my people last week to quit their outlook/thunderbird/... calendar system to try Opengoo.
In less than a day, most of us had about 30/40 tasks and we were still exploring the potential of the system, especially the system of Workspace and stickers which in less than a click allow to see precisely who works on what.

Not only is it already very exhaustive but best of all, the interface is just great. It really invites to productivity and that's a big plus compared to some other solutions, valuable but not sexy at all.

Anyway, as for now, we trully thank the people behind OG for this great piece of work and are looking forward for further developments.

Feature requests / Assigning a color to a user
« on: January 12, 2009, 07:55:38 AM »
We can assign colors to contexts, could it be possible to do it at the user level so that, when reading the calendar or tasks list, we could have the task/events linked to one unique user colored ?

Feng Office 1 / The date edit bug in french (and i suppose in spanish...)
« on: January 07, 2009, 11:10:21 PM »
A topic was launched on the french forum concerning a pretty annoying date problem. But till now, no solution yet.

Here's the problem :

When creating a taks/milestone/event... no problem. The date we input is the one displayed correctly after saving.
But in the case we decide to edit the task/milestone... even not for changing the date, then it's save considering the UK system of dates mm/dd and not the dd/mm we use here.
An example. If I edit a task and give it 06/03, March 6th (either by writing directly the date or choosing it in the pop-up calendar), it saves as June 3rd. Once we understand the problem, we edit writing the contrary date but well... It can get messy if we don't think about it, especially when inputing days beyond the 12th.

A user, Oxydum, proposed some edits at that place :
lang.js on line 468, changing : 'date format alternatives'  to  :
     'date format alternatives' : 'd/m/y|j/n/Y|j/n/y|j/m/y|d/n/y|j/m/Y|d/n/Y',

But well, it didn't seem to solve anything.

Thank you for any idea.

Feature requests / User authorization filter on tabs and modules
« on: January 06, 2009, 10:49:07 AM »

I'm still exploring the potention of opengoo, especially with workspaces.
Rather than limiting its use to my people, I plan to expand it to people working with us and needing regularly documents we produce.
As for now, at the user level, it's possible to limit its authorization at the worspace level and also on some system issues. For our external users, we only want them to have access to the document tab, only with "read" authorization. They don't need calendars, notes, labels...
Could you expand the authorization properties so that besides worspace, we can have the tabs authorized or not so that they they are visible or not ?

Feature requests / Completed Tasks in the calendar
« on: January 05, 2009, 12:37:38 AM »

Before starting, I feel the need to thank the people behind OpenGoo and for their fantastic work and dedication to its development.

There's one feature I haven't found in any of the platforms dealing with project management (dotproject, collabtiv...) and I havn"t found it either : Seeing completed task on the calendar.
We work a lot with calendars here and need to see on it when something is completed. On Opengoo, as soon as a task is completed at 100%, it just disappears from the calendar and we need to go to the task list for checking it.
Could we have a filter in the calendar to see completed tasks (in light grey for example so that we don't see them as pending tasks) ?

Thank you.
