Feng Office 3 / Re: compatibility with PHP 7.2?
« on: September 15, 2018, 03:46:08 PM »
No php7 compatibility.  It feels like this project is dead, or moved to private pay.

We use the community version 3.5.1.5 in production, but it's in need of updating.  I have found a 3.6.0RC on github, but not sure if it's official, or not.  I haven't yet had a chance to trial it, but I see nothing significant that would make it play nice with php7.

Is there a desire to fork this project, and rebuild it for the future? (ie, php7)

Feng Office 3 / Re: Feng Office 3.4.4.7

See:

Unfortunately FO is not releasing all versions to the community.  It's an unfortunately reality as their business model appears to be changing.

SourceForge is up to 3.4.4.1.  But, the good news is that with the exception of sub version 3.4.4.2 - the others only fix bugs that are not in the community edition.

I've requested 3.4.4.2 be released as the bugfix in the email module DOES affect the community version.

Hi Natalia - thank you for the update.

There is a significant issue with the current version 3.4.4.1 that was fixed in 3.4.4.2 (not available on Sourceforge) where emails with no message id are not imported via imap.

Would really appreciate that this update is published on Sourceforge.

Steve

Feng Office 3 / Error log help
« on: September 18, 2016, 09:34:50 AM »
FO 3.4.4.1 appears to work just fine, as did 3.4.2.  These errors continue though and I'm trying to understand and find a fix - I am thinking that this will help with performance, as I can get hundreds of the exact error in an hour when we have heavy usage.  They appear related to grouping tasks and the array sending a null value...

How To's / Feng 3.4.x sub version
« on: September 09, 2016, 11:47:37 AM »
Would FO consider making the sub-version changes available on Sourceforge?

Sourceforge last version is 3.4.3, but there have been 20 bug-fix updates since - currently up to 3.4.3.20.  I realize that many of the bugfixes are related to the commercial add-ons only available in the commercial version, but many include languages, email, tasks...

Just a thought!

Is it possible to:
1. send SMS via Feng Office on demand?

Hi,

this Question is about 6 years old.

Is it meanwhile possible to send SMS via Feng Office?

Thanks

Using a third party email based tool - this should be pretty easy - just assign the email address of the user to the sms email.

I'm pretty sure php7 is not supported.  Use php 5.4+.

Have you setup crontab to run cron.php regularly?

I can attest that FO works - we use it for a small business with about 18 users/emailers, managing hundreds of workspaces.

Yup - i can confirm that if you run the plugin upgrade from console this solves things!

php7 is not currently supported, so you will have to roll back to 5.4+ for the FO installation.

We are 3.4.0.17 - just haven' thad the time to upgrade to 3.4.1 yet...

We run our install on a Debian 7 server out of a datacentre.

I've checked on our installation of FO and no images are stripped from emails.

So, it is no FO that is the problem, but perhaps somewhere in your settings, either server or FO settings.

In email options in FO, what do you have "Block email images" set to?  Perhaps this is set to "yes"?  It is configurable on a per user basis.

This could be gmail that is the problem, as they move images to their own servers and then serve them.

Does it work if you just do a 2 step test?

1. Create test email with logo image in signature in GMAIL.
2. Send email to another Feng Office account.

If that works, then it is google not feng that is to blame...
