Error - BLOB/TEXT column 'description' can't have a default value
« on: September 29, 2008, 01:42:14 AM »
Got this error "Failed to import database construction. MySQL said: BLOB/TEXT column 'description' can't have a default value" During install on Ver 0.8. I am using Apache 2.X & MySQL 5.0.67. Any way out? Thanks in advance

Hello deepaknair,
some MySql versions do not accept default values for BLOB/TEXT columns. To fix this you could change opengoo/public/install/installation/templates/sql/mysql_schema.php removing the default value for all columns defined as TEXT (this means removing the part of the line that says default '')
This will be fixed on next release.
