Email completed task
« on: January 23, 2009, 08:25:37 pm »
I have used literally 90% of the task managers out there, paid or otherwise, and I am happy to say this one fits our companies needs the best so far.  You should be very proud of your system.

Anyhow...
I am not sure if I am missing this setting or if it does not exist.  Can I set it so when a  user closes a task out I get a email saying the task was completed?

thanks.

Thanks for the compliments!  ;D And yes, we are proud.  8)

Unfortunately, the feature you describe is not implemented. Sounds useful. We will consider it for a future release.

I agree with the compliments! It's really the best system on earth! We have used many other task managers out there too.

And the development is quite fast!

I second the described feature as a feature request too. It's really essential to get a message if a user closes a task. I was missing them too.

I am not sure if this would be easier or harder, but even a notice in the dashboard area would be good.

When I complete a task I want my boss/supervisor/whoever to know I accomplished the task.

We try not to constrain new features by the measure of how hard they are to code (though it sometimes happens, when we estimate it is just too much work  :-\ ).

In this case, it is a matter of deciding whether or when the supervisor wants to know this.

The more I see this nice software and it's fast and very knowledgeable development the more I love it!

It's a really big and pleasant difference to many other software developers sitting in his ivory tower and ignoring users needs and wishes.

 :)  :)  :)
