Stop mailing every step I do

Hi,

my newbie problem is, that everytime, when I do something in OpenGoo, e.  g. a task, a link, a calendar-entry all of my collegs get a mail - a lot of mails  :'(

I can't find a function in the administration how to stop that. Is there a way to stop it or is this the normal behaviour of OpenGoo?

Hi Pet,

thanks for response. Now I checked, that the reason for this behaviour is the 'autosubscription'. As the WIKI says, "You will realize that you get notification e-mails for every object you have created or commented on without having subscribed to it".

I think this is very unhandy. For example: I put 7 dates in the calendar and my colleagues get 7 mails for each date.
But if I don't subscripe my colleagues to the dates, they can't see the dates in the mini-calendar at the startpage.
So that's my dilemma. I want to have the dates in every calendar (that works) and every startpage (that doesn't work) without "bombard" my colleagues with a lot of (senseless) mails.

Any idea how to handle this?

Hi sche,

I wouldn't say it is completely senseless mail. You are notifying your partners that they are interested in an event taking place some day.

Well Cabeza, I'm sure that in some cases the notification makes sense.

We are a school with 25 teachers and we have a boss who loves to fill the calendar  ;)
I'm testing OpenGoo for one and a half week (holidays!) and in this time I got a lot of phone-calls from my colleagues because of this mails - and I was only testing.

When my boss starts to use the calendar of OpenGoo I am sure, that we are talking of hundreds of mails. So I would say in our special situation I can't use this functionallity.
But I have still no idea how to stop it.

OpenGoo is very lonely at first, he just wants to be your friend and love him.

But if you go to
Account
-Preferences
--Task Options
And uncheck "Task notification is checked by default:" Open Goo will shut up and leave your members alone.
