Hi guys,
I have been recruited by a couple of friends starting out collaborating on a new business venture from opposite sides of the the globe. I'm to be the designated IT boffin the in the equation and will be looking to evetually host their implemention of OpenGoo.
Cutting to the chase; my Server OS of choice is FreeBSD. I've never really dabbled in Linux (see little reason to do so) and without having explored too much in the way of manually compiling programs from scratch source code - I'm wondering if any of the developers, forum particpants or testers have such a leaning to port OpenGoo to FreeBSD?

is it not enough to just have php and mysql support on you server?
maybe you just install apache and mysql and give it a try?

Hi kymbo,
As soomon said, all that you need to run OpenGoo is an Apache web server with PHP 5 and a MySQL database. OpenGoo is a webapp. If there is a port of Apache, PHP and MySQL to FreeBSD (and I'm pretty sure there must be), then you can run OpenGoo.
Cheers.

soomon & ignacio
that's fine.. thanks guys. I am presently awaiting some donor hardware from my colleagues to trial this on. I'll read up a bit more in the meantime and develop some more specific questions from there.
Do you know of many users/administrators running OpenGoo on any of the *BSD platforms?

But ... but everyone I know running FreeBSD says it is just like Linux, only stable ;-)
