Installation problems / Upload folder is public ?

Hello,
I've installed fengoffice on my server, and I just realized that the "upload" folder is accessible even if I'm not authenticated which means all my emails are accessible.
So I added a htaccess to protect the folder but I can't believe this is a feature. Is it ?
I tried to search on the Internet to find if somebody also noticed it but I did not find anything.
