Hi,
since all the functionality now is already implemented (mailer, ical file creation for export (and importer)), one of the next logical steps may be to send out the created ical file directly through the opengoo mailer.
Here is a workflow example how we usually work and arrange meetings in our company (15 heads):
- all people have marked their planned availability in their personal workspace's calendars
- we have one person who arranges meetings for everybody, who just books available time in the main opengoo calendar
- currently she is then exporting to ical manually and sends it out by email, so people can put the item into their outlook/sunbird calendars, so they can also know their appointments when offline.
exporting/importing is nice, and I think positive enhancement would be if opengoo could handle to send ical attachments directly from an opengoo calendar to a mailer list
also, since we are so many persons it may be nice to have separate colors for persons calendar items. maybe even something bigger, like every user can select one personal color, that will be used for calendar items, and other things where a user is the owner... (just an idea, not throughly reflected)
