Here you will be able to get the latest official translation to Japanese.
If you want to help translating to Japanese please read the official translation procedure (http://forums.opengoo.org/index.php?topic=1857.0).
The official Japanese translator is mtanaka (http://forums.opengoo.org/index.php?action=profile;u=211).
The latest available version is 1.4.2.

Hi,
I'm very new to opengoo but I've just added it pkgsrc (NetBSD package collection, http://www.pkgsrc.org/ ).
My simple question is why "jp_ja"? I think it should be "ja_jp" like other languages.
Best regards.
-
Ok, changed for next version :)
-
Thanks. (jp is country code and ja is language code.)
BTW, there are a numer of missing translation in current Japanese translation
file and I found a few incorrect translation. I'll start to fix them slowly.
Best regards.
-
That would be great!

> That would be great!
BTW, the official Japanese translator, mtanaka seems to create this
forum's account but he have posted no article...
And with OpenGoo 1.4.2, I found that Korean translation is added and
it should be "ko_kr" instead of "kr_ko." (ko is language code for Korean
and kr is country code of OKorea.)
And more, please write changing of these langage/country name in language
directory. Since a user still have old name in her/his account data, she/he
would be confused by losing her/his localizaiton item data when opengoo
is updated.
Best regards.

Thank you for all your contributions!
Minoru Tanaka hasn't made any posts on the forum but you can contact him by sending him a personal message. He's the official translator because he contributed the current Japanese translations. Nowadays he's a little but busy with his job so you can help him with translations if you want. In a couple of weeks OpenGoo 1.5 beta will be out so there will be new text to translate.
Best regards,
Ignacio.

Please try and report problem, Japanese language users!
Best regards.

Here is another update of my *unofficial* translation files.
* Fix some fluctuation of translated "folder".
* A few translation improvements.
BTW, my translations have some drastic changes to Japanese terms.
So I emphasis "unofficial".
Maybe, we Japanese people should be talk about translated terms...
Best regards.
-
Well, I do not speak Japanese myself so may be it would be great if you could get in touch with someone else who does so you can both make the translation even better.
What do you mean by 'drastic changes' anyway?
Best regards,
Francisco
-
Hi,
"drastic change" was somewhat flowery. ;)
- Selection of some Japanese word for translation.
- Use of "Katakana", macron at ending of words.
Anyway, is there anyone to discuss about Japanese translation, Japanese people?
-
Well, the point of translating Feng Office to different languages is so that people can have it available in their native language and understand what do the terms and actions mean.. so if you consider that your last update can manage that, we will include that one in a future release
Best regards,
Francisco
-
So, I think that I should create another topic in Japanese for this discussion.
