Installation problems / Upgrading from 1.0?

Hi,
Been using 1.0 for a while without any problems, but checking the latest version today I see we are at 1.4 already... now probably my fault but how do I go about upgrading from 1.0 ... i've did try a few thing but the db has changed (fields like trashed_by_id have been added) and starting from a clean 1.4 and copying my uploads files and config didn't work either.
If I should upgrade to 1.3 that's fine, but that's not available in the download section ;-)
