Getting Started / size and storage
« on: October 19, 2012, 06:38:10 pm »
Hi
our Feng office (great by the way) tells us the following at the bottom of the page.

Powered by Feng Office 1.7.2. 0.288s. 11.73 MB

However, the file manager (CPanel) on our server tells us that 12.4gig is used up by Feng Office??

Every two months we've had to purchase additional storage space (approx 1gig)...I don't think we use the system excessively, we don;t upload files larger that 300kb as a general rule.

Also, what happens to documents which are attached to emails, can they be removed and trashed?

Thanks for any help as at it's current usage for us this is unsustainable and we'd have to look elsewhere for document storage.

How To's / Remove files from emails
« on: January 06, 2012, 03:42:28 am »
Hi
I'm curious as to what happens with the file storage process of emails.

Say we receive an email with large files attached into a workspace.  We move it from that WS to another, we've downloaded the email and no longer want it taking up space onthe server.  Once we have classified the email and attachment, should we be able to delete it?  If so, how?!

The issue is that our system seems to be taking up over 9gig of space on a webserver which strikes me as being a huge amount.

Thanks for thoughts

How To's / Re: Using Templates for documents
« on: January 22, 2011, 04:48:52 pm »
We are interested in this function as well.  Being able to create an HTML template and specify any number of fields/subject headings would be perfect.

I take it since the original post has been ignored that this is not likely to be added...?

Thanks

Following on from that, is there a way to display the file size of the document and be able to sort by that size?

I'm sure this is being worked on.  I've experienced the same thing.

The icing on the cake would be a system check for the same file name and give an option to rename the file - if no file exists, then proceed with the name change (if needed) and move to workspace, if file does exist, then work through revision/upload process.

How To's / Re: Disable Autosubscription for new Mails

Is this the same process for email notifications that are sent to users EVERY time some deletes an email, creates a task, modifies a task or simply does anything!  As Admin I seem to get 30-50 email notifications a day that I simply do not need to know about!

Thank in advance for any suggestion how to stop this.

Older versions / New emails marked as read before reading...
« on: February 03, 2010, 03:53:17 pm »
HI
I have seen a comment about this in another read and the response indicated that this was a standard process.  Is there anyway to get this working as a normal email client would.  We're new to Feng Office but are finding it difficult getting used to manually having to mark new emails ourselves.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Older versions / Email accounts
« on: February 02, 2010, 08:37:47 am »
Hi
I've got an administrator account and recently created 10 or so email accounts and gave other users limited access to those accounts, i.e. read and write emails, but not editing the actual account or permissions.

These shared email addresses have 2-3 users are are allocated to a workspace.  Since using them like this, we've decided to remove 1-2 users ,so I re-edited the permissions ensuring that either myself or one other had the admin rights to edit the particular account.

Unfortunately, now, no users have admin access and I am getting the message saying that we don't have permissions to edit the account.

How can I correct this?

Additionally, I deleted one account and recreated it only to find that the emails remaining in the system from the old account have no identity, is it possible to assign them to the new account?

Thanks in advance.

Older versions / Re: 1.6.1 Email Problem - error Allowed memory
« on: January 17, 2010, 10:00:08 am »
Hi

I think we may have cracked this.  Advice was given about increasing the size in the php.ini file.  If you do this, do note that this seems to relate to two files.  One inside the Feng Office folder system then one in the root directory on your server.

We changed both and added the two lines as follows:
php_flag memory_limit 128M
php_flag upload_max_filesize 16M

So far so good, (it's been three days without errors) will post back if not the case!

No idea if this will work for others, but maybe worth a go.

Hi
I'm getting similar ones:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 35 bytes) in /home/dpgxnitz/public_html/extranet/library/htmlpurifier/HTMLPurifier.standalone.php on line 14742

But as you say, not happening to every email, just some of them.  Have not spotted a trend yet either! But will report if I do...

Is another error:
Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2518438 bytes) in /home/dpgxnitz/public_html/extranet/application/controllers/MailController.class.php on line 376

I've tried to increase the memory size in the ini.php file, but it seems to have made little difference.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Hi,
I'm getting this error when trying to receive emails.  I've got 3 accounts set up in different workspaces.
'Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 5505058 bytes) in /home/dpgxnitz/public_html/extranet/library/PEAR/Net/POP3.php on line 1129.'
Any ideas much appreciated!
Thanks
