Where is Debug mode's output?

I bet this is a stupid question, but I don't know where to look to find the debug mode's output  ??? The documentation doesn't really specify where to look.

When DEBUG is set to true you will get error messages on screen and on file 'cache/log.php'. It may not help for some errors.
