Older versions / Replying to emails - header/contents spacing
« on: September 30, 2009, 09:07:08 pm »
This only happens sometimes and I have not found the commonality, however sometimes emails replied to will not space the previous emails contents and header.

It's hard to explain.    The first word of the incoming email will be adjacent to the last thing of my footer of the outgoing email.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but the last thing is my email address in my footer.   The first word of the incoming email will trail right behind it and is actually part of the "email link".

How To's / Calendar - All Day - repeating
« on: September 28, 2009, 08:22:20 pm »
Lets say a person has a conference for 3 days.

So far I set it up by putting an all day event and then repeating it ever 1 day ending 3 days into the future.

Is this the only way of doing this?   Am I missing something?

Older versions / Time - General time - Update
« on: September 23, 2009, 06:46:41 pm »
When you go to update a general time entry, the date is always set to todays date.    I don't see why updating an entry should change the date at which the time entry applies to.

Older versions / Email attachment - .msg
« on: September 23, 2009, 03:32:53 pm »
I get emails which someone attaches the email message somehow.     In Squirrelmail it's attached as a .msg file.   RoundCube handles it by inserting the .msg contents into the email.

Anyways, OpenGoo looses it.    There is no attachment and it does not display the .msg contents.

Help.

Thanks.

How To's / Email Columns - To and From
« on: September 20, 2009, 05:30:25 pm »
Is there a way to change the column view in the email component to show the To and the From?

Especially in the Sent view it only shows the From.

Feature requests / Default Task Assigning
« on: September 10, 2009, 02:09:47 pm »
When I create a task by default it remains unassigned.

In each users Task Preferences there should be the option to change this.

Personally I would have liked it to assign to Me by default.

Feature requests / Workspace billing
« on: September 10, 2009, 02:06:38 pm »
Even though a billing category is applied to a workspace, it does not seem to work.    Currently it only uses the User Default billing rate.

The time module/tasks billing options including Workspace Default Rate, User Default Rate, Exception.   The Exception can be entered as anything.  Of course all entries should have the ability to be changed between those options, even retroactively.

The report should have a Rate column and the Exceptions should stand out somehow (Asterisks or bolding, etc)

Moving one step forward, it would be nice to have a "workspace admin" who could "lock" the time/rate once it has been acknowledged.   For example, once the user has been paid for that time it is not editable.  Just a thought.

Older versions / Document - Filename
« on: September 09, 2009, 09:54:56 pm »
In Documents if I go to upload it, it's obvious that the Filename field is the actual file name (eg. myletter_v1.doc) and not a Title (eg.   My Letter) like I initially assumed it would be.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but when I "Update File" and upload myletter_v2.doc, should the Filename automatically be updated to the actual file name?  Similar to when a new file is initially uploaded?

I suppose the filename could initially be set to a generic name like myletter.doc, but then when you send it or download it you don't know what you're working with.

Should the Document file and the Document Title be separate?      Therefore you have a document "My Letter" with two revisions (myletter_v1.doc  & myletter_v2.doc).   When you download each revision the appropriate file name is retained.

Feature requests / Re: Email functionality is crucial
« on: June 12, 2009, 07:36:23 pm »
I think we are suggesting similar solutions.

The key functionality I would like to have regarding email is to save/link emails to a workspace, address an email from within the OpenGoo contact record, save attachments into the OpenGoo (workspace(s)) and add attachments to emails from within OpenGoo.

Of course more sophisticated features beyond that would be nice like emailing groups of people, contacts associated with a workspace, users associated with a workspace, etc.    Also incorporating email templates somehow would be nice.  These are just some examples but have secondary importance.

Feature requests / Email functionality is crucial
« on: June 11, 2009, 03:36:26 pm »
First of all, I really like the layout of OpenGoo and how things are layed out.

But I can't use it because of the poor email support.  Email has to function fully if it's going to be included.   Obviously rendering emails properly and handling attachments are key points.  The last version (I believe 1.3.x) I tested didn't even recognize some attachments despite there being one, which is obviously unacceptable if I stop using my current email client and switch to using OpenGoo.  And I had issues saving attachments, etc.   There's a reason why its in a Beta status.

I still think OpenGoo should investigate the option of integrating with a proven email system and not try to reinvent the wheel.

RoundCube, Horde and Squirrelmail are all proven clients that would place OpenGoo light years ahead of where it is now.

Just my opinion though.

How To's / Contact list - Workspace identification
« on: April 23, 2009, 03:06:23 pm »
Currently if contacts are assigned to a workspace, those workspaces are listed in front of the Contact name.  Is it possible to place it behind?    The reason is scanning for a contact is more difficult because the name bounces all over the place.

1.4 beta / Re: Time module
« on: April 23, 2009, 02:50:13 pm »
Small update on this.

The error only exists using Safari.  The error box only occurs the first time loading the tab.   The entire tab functionality does not work at all.

Firefox works fine.
