Upgrade from Beta 2.  My Custom report is now gone.  I now get "there are no custom reports".

PHP 5.2.9
Apache/2.2.13

No errors reported in the error log.  Clean upgrade. I will post in bugs as well, but wanted people to be aware.  If you have lots of custom reports or require it, you may wish to hold off on this upgrade/testing.

Question about TimeZones/DST:
I read something about it in the Changlog. But it is not clear to me, if OG now can handle DST (for Europe). Can you give us a short info about this.

Thanks for the great work! (once a gain) :-)

Daniel

@cluge: Are you filtering by the correct object type? The reports haven't been altered in this upgrade. At most, maybe there's a bug when listing the reports, but the reports haven't been deleted.

@daniel: When chosing the user's timezone you can choose to auto detect it. If so, the user's timezone will be set to the same timezone the user has on his computer, considering DST also.

The filtering was the issue.  I apologize.  Perhaps an "all" filter would be a good addition?

I still see errors in the log file when creating a new filter, I posted those in the bugs forum. It is creating the reports correctly.

If your in one filter (for example contacts) and create a report with another object type (say user), when you finish the report it returns you to the original filter (contacts in our example).  This doesn't show your newly created report.  I'd suggest that if you create a report that the application returns you to the filtered display of the object type of the report you just created.  That would provide a visual that the report was indeed created correctly.

Hopefully that makes sense.

Best Regards,
cluge

There is a problem I'm still having from OpenGoo 1.5 to 1.6 BETA 3 version.

When setting up the mailing system:

In OpenGoo 1.5.3, I get the following error message:
- Error while sending mail. Possibly wrong SMTP settings.

In OpenGoo 1.6 Beta 3 I get the following error messages:
if I say no SMTP authentication, I get:
- error running command: quit. no connection available
if I say SMTP authentication "same as incoming", I get:
- The MTA doesn't support any of Swift's loaded authentication mechanisms

Do you have these errors documented so I can solve them?

my complete bug error posting is here:

This SMTP problem has since been fixed.... MDaemon issue on relaying and host to IP address resolution.  NOT a problem with OpenGoo.

Hi,

I'm sorry but I don't understand (french user). Could you explain how to set up the SMTP server to avoid this error ("MTA...) ?
Many thanks

As a general note, may I suggest you read:  http://forums.opengoo.org/index.php?topic=3142.msg12146#msg12146

Otherwise, I would still be happy to help, but can you provide me with some basic information:

1) what type of e-mail server do you use for outbound e-mail (i.e. do you run your own server and if so what is it or do you use your ISPs?)

2) what type of web server are you running (i.e. IIS, Apache, or other?)

A good idea is to look at a mail client's smtp settings that you know works.

Obviously don't post any passwords here, but I need at least a basic understanding of the systems your using to be able to help you.  If you would feel more comfortable, feel free to PM me with the info.

Also, if need be, let me know and I'll use a translation program to communicate.

Many thanks paulscallanjr for your help,

Actually, I'm running OpenGoo on my own server (distant dedicated server exactly). So, I tried mail sending configuration with the php method and OpenGoo said "sending mail OK" but the message never arrived. So I tried with SMTP method, but Igot the error "MTA doesn't accept any swift's loaded authentication..." whatever the port number...

My server is running under Apache...

Many thanks again (I promise to speak french if my english is too bad!!!) :P
