Does anybody have any idea or suggestion about why emails get dowloaded from the server into the OpenGoo, once delted inside the OpenGoo account?
-
odd.. they shouldn't be. Are you using IMAP or POP3?
-
For me it is the same problem. I delete a message in OpenGoo and after 3 Minutes it is back again in Inbox.
Do you have an idea to fix the problem?
I´m running OpenGoo 1.6

again, what are your settings? IMAP, POP3, etc.
Also, is the email getting downloaded from your mail server a second time, or is it simply not staying in the trashcan (in workspaces panel)?
Next time it happens look in your trashcan to see if the deleted email is still there. If it IS still in there AND you have it in your inbox then that means that you got it a second time from the mail server.
If it's NOT in your trashcan and is in your inbox, then it's not staying trashed.
I don't know how to solve either of those problems off the top of my head, but maybe we can figure out exactly what the problem is.

I´m using pop3, delete the messages in the trashcan. When Opengoo checks next Time the mail account it download the messages again!
So the problem is that mails which are delete in trashcan not deleted on the server!

I am experiencing the exactly the same problem. After deleting the mail (which does go to the trashcan and it stays there), and after checking the mail again, same email messages are download again from the server.
I am using the POP3.
I have also noticed that if I select the option "YES" for 'Delete mails from server' found under the email edit account menu, and specify "1" for 'after ____days', then emails tend not to be downloaded from the server anymore after some time.
This bug was not present in OpenGoo 1.5.3 version. If OpenGoo team would be able to look into this problem, it would be greatly appreciated.
Because the upgrade failed from 1.5.3 to 1.6, a fresh install of OpenGoo 1.6 was done on our server.
Thanks.

This will be fixed for 1.6.1. Both problems: deleted emails being fetched again and "delete mails from server" not working properly.
-
Is there a release date for version 1.6.1?
-
In my experience, this issue still exists! Tried both with a new install and upgrade from last version. Emails downloaded via pop3 are still on the server, even after deleted from trash also using the option ~delete from server after 1 day`.(since it doesn't save the option 0 days...) Same thing with IMAP. I've tried several cron job configurations and still no joy. Emails are still on the server. Tried same config on outlook and it works flawlessly. What should I try now? By the way,, My server is Mochahost... I'm using XAMPP 172 and OpenGoo version 1.6.1. and Opengoo Rocks! But I still need to solve this to put it on production. I'm checking on groupoffice and seriously considering eyeos 2.0 just because of this issue!
Thanks for any help.

We are using Feng Office 1.6.1 and have the problem too. All mails are still on the mailserver.
Hope, this problem will be fixed in the next update.

Have you configured cron.php? Emails won't be deleted unless you do so
-
Hi Ignacio,
can you explain, what you mean with a "configured cron.php"?
In the Admin-Panel I activated the cronjobs (with starting date and intervalls) - isn't that enough?

Sorry, here's the link to the wiki section explaining it: http://www.fengoffice.com/web/wiki/doku.php/setup#setting_up_a_cron_job_on_the_server

Hi Ignacio,
thanks for the link - hope I did everything right.
The Cronjob (I created one in the server-interface of my webhoster) seems to work for example if I sign in the mails are already in my inbox without cklicking something ;D
Now I have to see if the mails will be deleted from the server after one day as I configured in FengOffice.
