Hello,
I think it would be a good idea to have all contacts and companies categorized into i.e.:
- customer
- employee / partner (employee for contacts and partner for companies)
- supplier
- other
When adding a linked object we could filter contacts and companies by categories.
What do you think about it?

You could do that with tags, and filter by that tag when linking objects.

Maybe, but believe me - with tags there will be many mistakes like:
- supplier, suplier,
- client, klient,
- employee, employee
Don't want to know all the rest users idea how they will write it.
And one more thing - what with installations which use more than 1 language? I.e. employees are using Polish and managment English?
