I am using Bluehost.com without any problems at all.
I read many comments on here about installation problems, but I have loaded and reloaded Opengoo without any of the hiccups that others are talking about.
-
We use several, but will not give them links for free... they need to request sponsorship of OpenGoo, or offer us free -delux- hosting. Then I'll gladly refer... ;D
-
I've installed Opengoo on our site, which is located on a shared server with Midphase--and had not problems with the install--but it occasionally opens veeeeeerrrrryyyy sloooooowwwly. I presume this is a shared load issue and not a coding problems?

My OpenGoo installation runs at http://www.cyon.ch (http://www.cyon.ch), it runs without problems, and it's good performance for the price. But this is a small hosting company in Switzerland, so I don't know if they are serving international clients as well.

Running on Dreamhost here. Very nice. I reckon OpenGoo will be recommended as a "one-click install". ;)
Congrats All, excellent application.

Can you either post the instructions for installing to DH here, or create an article on their wiki here:
http://wiki.dreamhost.com/Category:Third-Party_Software
If you create it, I'll clean it up if needed. Or, if you give the instructions here, I'll create it.
Thanks.

Just installed on DH myself.
I created a subdomain for testing it out on first... created a new database... uploaded the files, browsed to the subdomain and went through the install script.
It was easy as 1, 2, 3... er 4.

@Conrado:
What would you consider "deluxe" hosting?

What would you consider "deluxe" hosting?
A dedicated server, with fast -mirrored- hard drives, multi-processor multi-core, and a lot of bandwith.
Preferably allocated on a "Delux" Datacenter. ;D
Synced with a different server on a different continent: a plus.
I am currently in Europe looking for a provider (partner?). If anybody is interested, let me know... ;)

I'm on Siteground.
Although I've read a lot of bad reviews of them (usually support related), I've not had any problems myself.
No problems with setup.

Hi,
I've successfully installed OpenGoo on OVH (french host).
I'm on shared hosting with supposedly only 8Mb of ram available, but anything is fine so far.
Installation went smoothly with a few clicks.
(Congrats to the team for this very promising project.)

i am hosting this on my own root server with ispcp. runs like a charm, though the server is not the best out there ;D

I'm running OpenGoo in house. ... no pun. .. its.. in my house. ;)
OpenGoo is running in a Virtual Machine with a Linux OS. The metal is a 3ghz P4 on a 533mhz bus, 2gig of PC3200 on an 80gig 7200rpm HDD. Currently, only 256meg of memory is assigned to the OS running OpenGoo. This particular metal is also hosting 2 other OS's, and soon to be a third.
Speed wise, I sometimes wonder if running OpenGoo on metal would be better than in the VM arena, but, for all intents and purposes, instead of having 3 machines running all day, much nicer to have one machine running, hosting 3 operating systems. 1/3 of the electricity bill. ;)

We're doing an open beta at http://haveabyte.com if anyone is interested. Free OpenGoo installs for the first few folks who get in touch with us.
