What type of reminders? Birthdays?

Of course birthday, though their appears on the calendar (without reminder).

I use this feature in Outlook to remember that I have to call or visit, other kind of anniversaries and different things that I don't like to include as entries in the calendar.

Hi,

I also think a birthday reminder (enabled optional) might be interesting.
Especially to make the CRM-role of opengoo a little more better  ;)

Currently we use tasks and events to schedule calls and visits to customers.
But the idea sounds interesting ...

I think that adding reminders and comments to Contacts and Companies might be very powerfull to follow the contact or company history (CRM if you like to call it so  :)

agreed, something like a button on the contact's page that one-click creates a reminder task for the current user about that contact.

Hi,    (talking about OpenGoo 1.6beta)

I noticed that the birthday is shown in Calendar view when entered in the Contact. However it only appears in week and day view, not in month view.
Furthermore it does not appear in the "Upcoming events, milestones and tasks" widget, which I think would be also helpful.

Or, as others said, to activate this option for each contact individually.
