Installation problems / Re: Sending mails doesn't work --> i get no error

I'm having the same problem, I changed to SMTP but it keep returning an error without description when I try to send a email.

The log file just shows a socket error with a library from PEAR. Ergo, server can't be contacted and SSL error occurs.

Any thoughts?

There you go then.. Try using SMTP settings instead of PHP default ones. If the problem persists check once again if your email account has been set correctly.

Remember to check the log when you have problems, so you can try solving it yourself
