Feng Office 2 / Drastic performance degradation on 2.2 (after upgrade from 1.7)

We upgraded from 1.7 (or 1.6?..) to 2.0. We had several issues during the upgrade but were able to solve them and get the system up and running. We then upgraded to 2.1 and later to 2.2beta. It worked fine for awhile but lately the performance degraded to the point the system is unusable. It takes up to a minute or more for the main tab to render, and the tasks tab doesn't show up anymore (I suspect it simply times out).

We're going to be setting up a fresh 2.1 installation but obviously would like to keep the existing one where we have quite a bit of data.

Anybody has any insight as to what might be happening?
