did you delete the file cache/autoloader.php. (It will be recreated automatically with the new path.)

How To's / Re: Upgrade Went Wrong - 1.4.1 to 1.5.2
« on: August 28, 2009, 04:42:59 am »
After some digging, I found out that I apparently caught an exception (although I'm not sure if this is the only issue) and thus the main overview is blank: "0.2 Caught exception: Division by zero. Hello World"

Quick question: If opengoo worked fine before the upgrade, is it possible to downgrade back to the working version?

Thanks to Dinesh for the script to check for php exception issues.

It acts very slow, but I can actually still manage to see tasks, notes, documents, calendar (although it's weird looking now), and administration views. Overview is the only view that will not load.

Not sure if it's important, but my config file says: define('PRODUCT_VERSION', '1.2.0.1');

Errors look like this:

How To's / Upgrade Went Wrong - 1.4.1 to 1.5.2
« on: August 28, 2009, 03:34:32 am »
I upgraded manually from 1.4.1 to 1.5.2 and I received a message saying it was successful. After the upgrade, I only was able to view the header, footer and workspaces. I've only been able to get the main view once. At the top, it says loading for an extended period of time but eventually nothing will load.

I checked the log.php file, and it's full of errors about "Unknown at line ____" or "Uknown column ..." or "Query failed" etc.

I could post the error log, but it's very long.

How do I begin to correct this issue? Can I salvage the data and install fresh to correct it?

Thank you very much in advance!   :o

I'm anxious to download the updated release, but I'm weary because of reported bugs, etc. I don't want to get snagged on quirks/bugs. So I'm wondering: When will we know when it's safe to download/update the newest version of opengoo?

I know the obvious answer is when we get the notification in goo itself, but I was hoping for elaboration on the subject in general.

Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure that right now when you assign a task to a group, they're not notified via email.  :)

Announcements / Re: OpenGoo 1.5 beta 3 released!
« on: July 27, 2009, 01:37:40 pm »
I'm sad.

Email event reminders have never worked for us.

We can Send email just fine.

Then I see that 1.5 Beta 3 has "Event email reminders were not being sent" listed as a FIX.

Se we update.

And email reminders are still NOT being sent.

Is there some setting I need to check? Again, we can send email from OpenGoo just fine.

Am I not understanding the email reminder thing?

We have a Calendar event set at 4PM. It is set to send an email to remind 15 minutes before. Well, 3:45 comes and goes, and no email.

Any ideas?

Dude I spent like 6 hours trying to get it to work one time and I just gave up.  :( Albeit, I'm not the shiniest pebble in the pond.

How To's / Re: Share tasks
« on: May 20, 2009, 01:53:58 pm »
So basically the construction crew company and its users don't show up in the "Assign Task" drop down menu box.

Edit: I pointed and clicked to success. I'm not sure exactly how I did it, but eventually I modified permissions enough to make it work.

I have the same issue I think. I created two companies, one for my office and one for my construction crew. I can't create and assign a task for whoever is in the construction crew company even though their permissions appear to be sufficient for the particular workspace.  ???

How To's / Email Reminders - What kind of Cron Job is needed?
« on: April 25, 2009, 02:24:58 am »
Losing a little hair tonight trying to get email reminders working...  ;D then I saw Ignacio's update on 1.3 where it says we need a properly set up cron job for email reminders to work. Can someone elaborate a little on how to set up the cron job and what type of cron job it is we need to set up?

Some of the new features introduced since version 1.2:
have
    * Reminders:
o Define email reminders or popup reminders for events, tasks and milestones.
o Reminders can be set for yourself or for all subscribers of an object.
o Email reminders need a properly configured cron job.

Thanks so much in advance!

Getting Started / Where is Debug mode's output?
« on: March 19, 2009, 01:40:40 pm »
I bet this is a stupid question, but I don't know where to look to find the debug mode's output  ??? The documentation doesn't really specify where to look.

Thanks a bunch, guys.

How To's / Can't Retrieve Received Emails?
« on: March 02, 2009, 02:05:19 am »
Having trouble receiving emails, even though opengoo says "success: Email Retrieval Complete. 0 Emails Received." We also can't seem to save sent emails, although we can send them.
My Server's email configuration is shown in cpanel as follows:

Mail Server Username: user+myopengooserver.com
Incoming Mail Server: mail.myopengooserver.com
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.myopengooservercom (server requires authentication)
Supported Incoming Mail Protocols: POP3, POP3S (SSL/TLS), IMAP, IMAPS (SSL/TLS)
Supported Outgoing Mail Protocols: SMTP, SMTPS (SSL/TLS)

I believe I can use 25 or 587 for smtp. Pop3 is 110. Server doesn't require ssl, but server requires authentication using login. I can get outlook express to work right all day long.

Here's a screen shot of the dialogue for the email's connection method configuration gui. This is different from the wiki article about email setup.

Any suggestions would be immensely appreciated!

How To's / Re: Editing Text Fields for New Contacts
« on: March 01, 2009, 07:28:54 am »
wow. It's definitely not as simple as I'd hoped. I was hoping it would be laid out in some sort of html format or a more simple php where I could kinda understand the logic easily. Each field appears to be interdependent on another script in a different file, or something. Maybe database links. Usually with stuff like this I just copy previous code and edit it to fit my customization.

No takers?  :P I know it's going to involve editing some script, I'm just looking for a hint in the right direction.
