Announcements / Re: OpenGoo 1.5 final released!
« on: July 28, 2009, 05:01:56 am »
congratulations! but there seems to be a problem with  the opengoo/library/utf8 folder. Unpacking with OSX is no problem, while unpacking with unzip under Debian Linux renders this folder unusable.

I unpacked it using file roller under Xubuntu Linux, and had no such problem. (Note: I unpacked it on my local (GUI) system, not on our Debian webserver.)

It is also possible that I forgot to go the the forum after the notification on June 14th. That way I wouldn't get any replies anymore. As since I posted this and visited the forum, I have been getting notifications again.

Just thought of that this morning.

June 14th was just before my vacation, so it might me my error. But I'll keep an eye on this.

I just got my first notification. The one regarding 1.5 RC. So maybe it works again.

Nobody any ideas on this?

Hello,

I've no idea where to post this, as there's no support forum for the functioning of this website and forum, so I'll just put it here.

I'm subscribed to the announcements forum (just checked that), however the last notification I received was from the "Feng Office/OpenGoo at the ODF Interoperability Workshop New" topic. Which was June 14th. Since quite a number of new threads have been started, but I haven't received any notifications.

The email address I use is working (as I have been getting notifications from other lists/boards on the same address since then).

Any ideas on this?

Thanks,

Walrick

Indeed. This is very annoying.

Feature requests / Re: user settings
« on: January 04, 2009, 10:14:50 am »
I second these requests.

To the following I would like to add something.

3) default calendar display (which is not necessarily the last used display), i.e. month, day or week view)

I would like not just the month, day or week view. But I would like to be able to select  the "All Users" Calendar by default as well. We use the calendar to let each other know when we are busy or available, but have to switch manually to "all users" every time. Which is easy to forget. (This in addition to my earlier default workspace request.)

Feature requests / Re: Important request: default workspace on login
« on: December 08, 2008, 09:40:57 am »
Nice feature request. I'm thinking that maybe OpenGoo should remember the last workspace you were viewing when you login. That would be ok?

That would be better then the current situation. But even better would be the option to select a default workspace OR remember the last workspace.

But if your suggestion is fast(er) to implement, I would settle for that for now.

Feature requests / Important request: default workspace on login
« on: December 07, 2008, 06:21:56 am »
Hello,

I have an important request. At the moment when you login , you start in 'All' workspaces, which ressult in new objects to be created in your personal workspace. We use a shared workspace where just about all the work is done, however due to us starting up in all and sometimes forgetting to switch to the shared workspace first, we keep creating objects in our personal workspaces instead of the shared one.

This is very annoying.

Therefore we would like the user to be able to set a workspace where he starts after login. So that we can default to the shared workspace.

Walrick

Feng Office 1 / cal_hide not found
« on: December 05, 2008, 09:18:51 am »
Hello,

Sometimes I get errors messages which are "cal_hide not found" or something similar. I believe they mostly happen when trying to edit a calendar event, but I'm not sure about the exact circumstances.

Will update this message if I got more info.

Regards,

Walrick

Feature requests / Re: Exceptions to repeating events
« on: December 04, 2008, 11:00:52 am »
Maybe the easiest way to do this would be ask when editing or deleting... (like my Palm software does)

Do you want to change just this instance, all (past and future) or future (from that instance moving forward).

I agree. Software like Outlook and Thunderbird Lightning works in similar ways.

How To's / Re: Uploadign of files error
« on: December 02, 2008, 09:44:26 am »
Hi,

Try changing the contents of function force_mkdir, on line 225 of environment/functions/files.php so that you end up with this:

Code: [Select]
function force_mkdir($path, $chmod = null) {
return mkdir($path, $chmod, true);
} // force_mkdir

This patch was submitted by Gennady Telegin, who had the same problem, and this fixed it. Thanks Gennady!

Ok, this solved the same problem for me as well.

But question: why are the files saved with such cryptic directory and filenames? This makes it virtually impossible to recognize files using ftp.

In my opinion a simple file structure like:

/uploads/workspacename/filename

would be much clearer.

Or at the very least a normal filename. That way I would have access to the file through ftp if OG would be inaccessible at some point.

Feature requests / Keep names of weekday fixed
« on: November 29, 2008, 06:39:25 am »
It also would be more practical if in the week view of the calendar, the column headers with the date and weekday wouldn't scroll, so that they stay visible.

Feature requests / Exceptions to repeating events
« on: November 29, 2008, 06:33:44 am »
It would be nice if it's possible to edit single instances of repeating events (for example if the the time for a specific occurence of that event has changed) or to be able to delete single instances of repeating events (like during holidays etc.)

Getting Started / Re: Error -1: transaction aborted
« on: November 29, 2008, 06:16:39 am »
Today I was able to login and even see some mails I got yesterday. So apparently the mails arrived. I'm on a shared server, so restarting apache and mysql is no option. But my normal website running the TYPO3 CMS was still showing normally, so I guess the problem was just with OpenGoo and not with Apache/MySQL on this server.

But to be on the safe side, I've decided not to use the email function for now.

Regards,

Walrick
