Feature requests / Re: Address Book
« on: February 06, 2010, 06:59:11 am »
Tried the demo of the address book, but it looks really oldschool to me, and also has the annoying pages. It's all about realtime searching now.

I like the addressbook as it is now, except the way it searches.
* It doesn't take parts of the name. so looking for "daniel" by typing "dan" won't work, probably because it would come back with too many options because it's also looking in all other modules.
* It would be nice to filter realtime (using a new search box), hidding all contacts that have nothing to do with the query.

yeah, it doesn't seem to add alot.

what I would love to see is a way to see, in one overview, per project (workspace) if time is exceeded by workers. I think the reporting module should be capable of it.

Selected values being estimated time vs spend time, per task or per project. Would be nice to be able to filter then between all task (or projects) and within budget and exceeded budget. Right now there is no way to tell but going into each task and look manually....

I guess this should be in the requests forum :)

Older versions / Changing timezone or e-mail address gives weird error
« on: February 05, 2010, 07:20:42 am »
Error:
Query failed with message 'Duplicate entry '2-2' for key 1'

when I try to change the timezone for someone. And I had the same error when trying to change the e-mail of another user. I managed to change that e-mail in the DB directly, but the timezone is more tricky.

Any ideas on this error ?

I tried setting it to manual. but the system gives me an error.
Error:
Query failed with message 'Duplicate entry '2-2' for key 1'

I'll post this in the bug section as well, and then I'll be able to try it.
Thx

It seems this only happens with one person. When he enters an event it will shop up wrong. he is using the same os and browser as the rest of us.
could there be some other weird setting which makes this possible?

I guess this should be enough information for senior members or staff to locate and fix thix error? or are there just 2 people who have this problem? (Marco & me)

No, i have not.
and the solution provided didn't work for me either (or I'm doing something wrong).

haven't updated to 1.6.2. yet. but since you did, it might have been imported from 1.6.1 (which would be too bad)

Getting Started / reporting purposes
« on: January 23, 2010, 03:59:05 pm »
Hi there,
we are using the time module for keeping track of the time spent on workspaces and tasks and this works pretty well.
now I was thinking of using the reporting for a more elaborate time report like time spent, but also time estimated, so i can see if the estimated time is exceeded and so on, but I don't even get a regular time report from the reporting module.
so my questions:
a) is reporting module capable of showing the time spent? (it does show estimated time) so I can compare?
b) what else are people using the reporting module for? perhaps that brings me to some ideas to use the module as well :)

if this is not possible, is anyone aware of a way to show (for instance per milestone) if the time (or budget) is exceeded ?

Cheers

Yes this is tested on osx & windows. browser we currently use are chrome 3 (OSX) & chrome 4 beta (windows) and Firefox 3.5.7 on both platforms.

absolutely the right date. it's just the view in the calendar itself.
we've got the same problem on several computers, so it seems not realted to one issue.

Installation problems / start over with uploads
« on: January 18, 2010, 06:48:54 pm »
I want to start over with the uploads. some files are duplicated, and all are unnecessary. what would happen if I simply delete the uploads folder contents? I gather it will give me some errors in the app, but is that something I could fix by deleting these in the app as well?

I have an update here,
when I enter another event on the same date and around the same time (partly overlapping), it shows the first event correctly! when I remove this second event again, the first event shifts back to the wrong date...
Like it magnetically draws the other event into the right place :)

It doesn't work in Chrome on mac and pc
if I use Firefox on the mac, it only works in the tasks section, and it doesn't work in the calendar section, very weird.

I'm doing manual updates since 1.2 so maybe somewhere the updating went crooked? some folders I can try to re-upload ?

Older versions / date picker not showing on 1.61
« on: January 12, 2010, 05:56:26 pm »
somehow my date picker is not working anymore after upgrade to 1.6.1
the app shows a very small square when I click the picker icon just below the datefield's left bottom corner. see attachment.
so it's trying, but not showing.

any ideas?
