Applications / Squirrelmail integration into OpnGoo
« on: March 05, 2009, 11:30:40 pm »
<I am not sure if this topic should be in this forum or some other. Please feel free to move it to some other appropriate location if you wish to>

I have been trying hard to use Email (Beta) feature of OpenGoo. I have tried POP3 as well as IMAP for the Gmail account. Unfortunately, both did not work. Only 15-20 msgs got listed instead of all. I have a suggestion to use Squirrelmail as the IMAP client in OpenGoo. The system is immaculate as far as functionality is concerned. Its very fast and supports almost all emailing features.

I have had a hard time working with Email (beta) in OpenGoo.

This is just a suggestion. You as a developer definitely know better than me whats there inside the code.

Regards,

Nitin

One of the solutions to this problem is using Gzip compression with your Apache installation. This would Gzip all your Javascripts and download it on your local machine and then automatically Unzip it. This increases the speed substantially and reduces the bandwidth usage.

You can also use Gears for increasing the speed. I am trying to use the same but have not been successful in that. You know I am not too geeky  ;)

Please suggest if anyone is aware of any other way to speed up Open Goo Installation.

I am using en-us language. I have verified the steps and fixed one of the missing file. Unfortunately, it's still not working.   :(
I am receiving the following error: og is not defined.

og is not defined

Please suggest how to fix it.

Many thanks in advance.

I perfectly agree with the statement - OpenGoo is perfect for office managers (non-geeks  Tongue ) but it is too slow for technical users.  ;D

It would be great to be able to link the objects in opengoo using wiki syntax. We can always have our Managers working on to link the objects just as it happens in OpenGoo today, but we as a developer will be using Wiki Syntax to link the objects.

C'mon managers already a pain...we want to have a system good for us too.  ;D

Ideas / Assigning Emails to workspace
« on: February 27, 2009, 02:21:42 am »
I must congratulate OpenGoo team for 1.3.1 beta release. Great work!! Reporting feature is working like charm. There are few issues with Email still, not bad at all.

Requested feature:
When I assign an email to a workspace, the email is visible to everyone having access to that workspace.

Conversation between my client and me is visible to my employees. Similarly conversation between me and my employees is visible to my client. There may be instances when I would like to keep that email assigned to the workspace but invisible to others or selectively visible.

There should be an option to mark my emails private, or selectively visible to all the people who have access to that workspace.

Nitin

1.3-beta / Email feature not working
« on: February 27, 2009, 01:48:35 am »
First congratulations to the OpenGoo team on the release of 1.3.1 beta. Its wonderful.

The Include Headers do not load when Email option is turned on because of which the whole system stops load. It says "Lang not defined". I had to goto the database and turn of the Email Option inorder to get my OpenGoo system up again.

Can anyone suggest how to solve this issue.
