Thanks for the reply.
All the tasks and milestones are listed under the same workspace.

How To's / Milestones vs Tasks
« on: October 21, 2008, 08:26:01 pm »
OpenGoo 0.9.2

I'm confused.
I create a Milestone.  I assign Tasks to the Milestone.
On the Tasks view, the tasks I assigned to the Milestone aren't listed under the milestone.

Similarly, under the Milestone I create a Task through "Add Task to <milestone>", it is listed under the Milestione, but doesn't appear in the Tasks list.

What am I overlooking?

Feature requests / Roles for users
« on: October 21, 2008, 07:58:47 pm »
It would be very helpful to be able to define "Roles" and assign them to users.
A Role wold be a template for the tasks a user could perform (much more granular than the current permissions).  For example, just using Tasks: Create a task, edit a task, delete a task, re-assign a task, mark a task as complete.
I can imagine Roles defined at a 'global' level, then being inherited and refined in a a workspace.

Looking forward to 1.0....

How To's / Help with Help?
« on: October 21, 2008, 07:48:20 pm »
Hello,

OpenGoo 0.9.2.

No help is available.  The slide-out panel on the right is empty.

What have I done wrong?  How can I fix it?

Thanks...

Feature requests / Re: usability issues
« on: October 21, 2008, 07:41:22 pm »
Regarding tasks:
--- Dependencies would be very helpful, particularly one task dependent on multiple other tasks.
-- Similarly, a task shouldn't be allowed to be completed unless all sub-tasks are completed.  (This could be 'overrideable'.)
-- And, when all sub-tasks are complete, the parent task should be marked as complete.
-- On the Overview display, there is one flat list of tasks.  It would be nice to see the hierarchy/dependencies.

Looking forward to 1.0...

Installation problems / Re: Upgrade from 0.8 to 0.9 broken
« on: October 07, 2008, 05:07:53 pm »
I have a similar problem, although I did pick the 0.8->0.9 upgrade.

I end up with this:

    * Config file found and loaded.
    * File '/config/config.php' exists and is writable
    * Folder '/public/files' exists and is writable
    * Folder '/cache' exists and is writable
    * Folder '/tmp' exists and is writable
    * Folder '/upload' exists and is writable
    * Extension 'mysql' is loaded
    * Extension 'gd' is loaded
    * Extension 'simplexml' is loaded
    * Upgrade script has connected to the database.
    * Test query has been executed. Its safe to proceed with database migration.
    * Failed to execute DB schema transformations. MySQL said: Table 'og_read_objects' already exists

If I delete the 'og_read_objects' table and re-run the upgrade, I get this error:
* Failed to execute DB schema transformations. MySQL said: Unknown column 'is_read' in 'field list'

Similarly, it would be nice to be able import events from an online calendar such as iCal Exchange or iCalShare.

General Discussion / Re: Problem upgrading 0.7.1 -> 0.8
« on: August 27, 2008, 01:30:51 pm »
Thanks for the reply.  I had, in fact copied the new files to <rootURL>/OpenGoo, instead of to <rootURL>.

However, putting the files in the right place doesn't solve the problem.
In <rootURL>/public/upgrade/scripts I see only three .php files, and none of them upgrade to 0.8.
(I just checked the .zip file I downloaded -- same thing.)

General Discussion / Problem upgrading 0.7.1 -> 0.8
« on: August 27, 2008, 11:14:41 am »
Hello,

I believe I followed the steps in the opengoo_0.8.zip readme.txt file correctly.

However, when I look at <MyOpenGooURL>/public/upgrade, the only two choices shown are
    0.6.4->0.6.6
    0.6.6->0.7

What have I done wrong?

Thanks for any advice...

General Discussion / Re: Problem with 0.7.1 install
« on: August 06, 2008, 01:11:32 pm »
Thanks, everyone, for the replies.  I suspect the problem was related to "a directory has Group permissions set to write".

I deleted the first installation, downloaded the source again, uploaded, and the install worked as expected.

General Discussion / Re: Problem with 0.7.1 install
« on: August 05, 2008, 07:19:15 pm »
Thanks for the reply.

1) Have not seen the login screen.
2) File exists on server and is writeable.
3) I think I changed the permissions for the entire dir tree at and below OpenGoo/OpenGoo.

Now I get an Internal Server Error message, still no login screen.

I'll see if there is a log file anywhere with more information.

General Discussion / Problem with 0.7.1 install
« on: August 05, 2008, 06:34:02 pm »
Hello,
This is the frist time I have tried to install OpenGoo.   I copied the fiiles to the server, pointed the browser at /public/install, and followed the directions.  Prerequisites were OK, it appears the db was connected correctly.
When I point the browser at what I think should be the OpenGoo site, I get this:

Caught Exception in AutoLoader: exception 'Exception' with message 'Couldn't read file contents from

What have I done wrong?
Thanks for any advice...
