Trying to translate, but I always get errors
« on: April 13, 2009, 11:56:21 am »
Hello.
I'm trying to translate opengoo 1.3.1 to my own language Icelandic, but it isn't working so good.

I always get an null or 500 error although I try to translate the file again.

Im translating with CodeGeat Delphi, if that matter.

You can see 3 of my file below in the attachment.
Does someone see something wrong?

Hope that someone can help me!

I didn't notice anything that could cause error 500s on those files.

I did notice though that you are using HTML syntax to escape non ascii characters. Note that some of the translation strings are not rendered as HTML (emails, javascript alerts, and probably others), and so in that cases, 'ó' for example will be rendered exactly like that and not like 'ó'. You can just type directly the 'ó' as long as your file is encoded in UTF-8.

Another option is using the translation tool included in OpenGoo. Here's how to do it: http://wiki.opengoo.org/doku.php/localization#translating_opengoo
