Encoding issues

I have just installed FO 2.0 beta2 for the very first time on Ubuntu Server 11.10 (upgraded beta). Installation went fine but just when changing default locale in config.php from en_us to es_es I got garbled UTF-8 strings even in the login screen. Some non-ASCII characters display right while other don't:

- META for UTF-8 seems to be right in HTML page code.

    Contraseña:
    Recordarme durante 14 días
    (Olvidó su contraseña?) Opciones

- Strings 1, 3, 4 are OK (ó in "Conexión", ñ in "Contraseña" and í in "días")
- String 5 is garbled (It should be "Olvidó su contraseña")

Same behaviour is observed inside the app in the first screens I have tried so far. I'm showing the login screen for its simplicity.

PS: Hmmm! FOUND!
language/es_es/site_interface.php is faulty!

Thanks for your input! Please keep in mind it still is a BETA, so there prolly are several bugs out there, as well as language issues.

I've made some corrections to the site_interface.php. Just charset corrections. I'm attaching the corrected version for the beta3. If you replace the original language/es_es/site_interface.php with the one I'm attaching, you'll see the Spanish characters correctly.   :)
