Sheduling calendars exports
« on: March 10, 2009, 08:16:09 pm »
Some of my users have macs and use "iCalendar" application. They asked me if there was a way to synchronize an opengoo calendar with their application.

I know we can export calendars into a iCal standard format. I also know macitosh "iCalendar" application is able to import such files. I tested this successfully.

Now the question is : is there a way to automate this ?
That is, on the server side, exporting calendars  into a .isc file that will be accessed through a web server. Something like : "http://my.opengoo.server/shared_calendar.ics"

and on the client side,  "subscibe" to a shared calendar by giving this URL.

Not currently built on the system (I am in the category of users that need this feature urgently myself, though for syncing with my mobile).

If anyone knows of a workaround while we plan on adding this, please share!  :)

I second this request. This would be very much appreciated indeed.
(next to assigning multiple contacts to a workspace at once :)

Hi,
In version 1.4 you can enable the configuration option "Show feed links", this will make calendar views to show (in the top right corner) a link that exports the user calendar in ics format, just copy this link in a calendar client and you will be able to view opengoo calendar.

And the multiple contacts 'feature'. Is this ever going to be an option?
The thing is, I would like to select a set of contacts to add to a workspace at the start of a new project. Doing it one by one is quite annoying.
Any other way I can accomplish this?

The feature that allows to assign multiple objects (including contacts) to a workspace is in our roadmap, and it will be available in version 1.5

That would be lovely :)
Is there any public place where we can view this roadmap?
Would be nice to see what's coming up, especially since we're still deciding which online office suite works best for us.
