Error 403: Forbidden on updating profile

I have a problem when updating any profile in 1.4

When i go into a users profile and attempt to make any changes to any details of the profile i get a Error 403: Forbidden error.

this happens when i try to change any field i.e email, display name, title etc and from any account.

Any help would be appreciated

System will also not let me change a password or upload an avatar for a user

Tried to create a log file so i could see what the problem was, for some reason the app wont create one.

Make sure that the apache user has write permissions in opengoo folders, specially in 'public/files', 'tmp' and 'upload'

Hi

I have been in contact with my hosting provider and they have just got back in contact with me.

They have disabled "Mod_security" for me and it has fixed the problem i was having.

Should I have to disable mod_security?
What was it doing to stop OpenGoo updating?
