from testing at BEL project
« on: August 01, 2009, 02:06:22 pm »
So far, we have three of our team testing the webapp.

overall, from what  I have read of the other posts in this subforum, the additional spreadsheet, etc. functionality would be a great addition.

in documents, an ability to change format from 'wide' html layout to a traditional "page view' layout would go a lng way to helping users be productive.

a couple of ideas here that would go a long way in collaboration.

1) a notification panel letting users know who is logged in at a given time

2) possibly an instant messaging module to allow users to communicate directly with each other while logged in.

Hey Bear,

have you tried the (rather simple, skeletal, maybe good-enough) chat application by mirko and Tide?

it apparently worked when I tried it a while ago. And it does all you want.

(I'm just no fan of another communications channel, so I dumped it)
