I'm exchanging emails with the developer.
I'll let you know when we reach an agreement.

Superb.
We will definitely chip-in for this one. FengOffice is pretty much where our little team lives.

I can donate development hours in the form of documentation or JS/PHP/CSS.

I can also donate $100 for this app

Has the Feng development team considered adding the software to the Google App Marketplace? I recently attended the aimWest Lunch With Google event in Grand Rapids, and this looks like an excellent opportunity for Feng to pick up more community involvement.

Being a diehard Android user myself, i can't agree more with the previous poster.
Except for Feng, all other mission critical environments I depend on have neat little apps on the Android Market, namely Slicehost and Linode. It allows me to sysadmin from anywhere :)
Too bad I can't still manage projects the same way.

My apologies for any confusion, but I had been referring to the new Google Apps Marketplace for non-Google software vendors. Its focus in on enterprise level applications, such as Survey Monkey, myERP, mailChimp, etc. It can be found here: http://www.google.com/enterprise/marketplace/

It would be incredible to see this software expand! I have tested nearly 40 collaboration systems, including Google Sites and MS Sharepoint, and none of them are as user friendly to setup and maintain!

Don't know if to cheer or to worry :)
Absolutely mind blowing.
Thanks for the link!

@tharon

Do you contend that integrating certain FO tools with Goolgle Apps could indirectly benefit the mobile experience?
That being the case, the FO devs could kill two birds with one stone.

+1 for mobile sync
+1 for Android

- In my "spare time" I'm looking in to Mooha to see if I can somehow integrate that with FO.

I'm also an Android user  :)
Could not agree more on the needs.

@allenlook: Great news! Keep us posted and we are available to help if you need it.

Meanwhile I'm waiting for Mooha's developer specification and price. He should be sending it soon.

Best!

There has been progress. But we are still in negotiations phase.
I expect project to get started by the end of this month.

[Modified - moving question to the other thread]

I agree with the "suspiciously affordable" comment - different workspace permissions etc for each user should surely make things somewhat more complex than a normal sync server.

Nonetheless if this project is going forward I'll pledge $50 for now and maybe more for improvements once we have something sort-of-working.

Should I be doing something now to send some money or waiting for confirmation that it's going ahead?
