Email, Automatically delete from server

Hello,

When adding an email address, a user is given the option to delete emails from the server after a certain number of days.

Will this option just delete the emails from goo? Or will it also actually delete the emails from my gmail account?

I'm looking for it to just delete the fetched copies from the Goo account... Not the actual email on the Gmail server.

Please advise.
