First level of task edit - include "due date"?

Would it be possible to include the "Due Date" on the first level of task editing, such that when you are entering a task for the first time, the Due Date appears?

The cogent fields seem to me to be Description, Assign To, Email Notification and Due Date, not necessarily Time Worked, but that's just me.

Im not sure I understand, allenlook. Whenever you hit "edit task", start/due dates are always there for editing. Maybe i'm looking in the wrong place?

Agreed, when performing and "edit task" the almost-full dialog appears.

It is when you are entering a task for the first time, or performing an "add task" that you only get the description, assign to and hours worked fields.
