Can our Joomla portal CMS extract or link to public data from the Feng database (since Feng data is encrypted)

If we store documents in a workspace would the Joomla CMS be able to access the Feng workspace and display those documents rather than saving duplicate copies within the CMS?

or can we store the documents in the CMS (MySQL) and access them as documents linked to workspaces directly from Feng ?
