LDAP intergration
« on: September 19, 2010, 01:24:46 am »
Hello, is it possible to create users from LDAP directory? Maybe it must be a button "Get users from LDAP" (ldapsearch > insert). It should take standard LDAP props (cn,sn,GivenName,mail...). I think that LDAP "uid" and "uidNumber" must be equal to fengoffice's data (for future synchronization).

It would be perfect, if it also can create mail accounts for those users :)

and after that - fengoffice will be the best alternative to exchange server

wrong answer

Fengoffice 1.7.2 can only check passwords from ldap, but user must be already exists in the FO database (created by hand).

I'm talking about automatic user creation  (if exist in ldap), and automatic getting LDAP props to FO's users account (givenName, mail, etc...).

I believe it can be done but the feature is not included in the community edition of Feng.

Please let me know if you manage to find out something different.
Thanks
