SMTP error
« on: February 09, 2009, 04:41:24 pm »
Hi
I have just installed opengoo 1.2.rc1. Everything workin but SMTP.
I can send email as Administrator(testing send email, in both ways(using PHP and SMTP server) BUT...
When I add user end try send email same SMTP server(same username same password as I put for Administrator),  i get a following  message 'Error while sending mail. Possibly wrong SMTP settings.' I am confused.

Where I did wrong? Or is there bug's?

Thanks for anwers  and sorry bad english

ps. PHP setting will work and send email, if I send emal as Administrator. If someone can tell me how do settings all user with PHP, I am very grateful(I have own server...)

Hi,

I tried sending mails with different users configuring the same account for each one, (same email address, username and password) and it worked fine.
Every user (admin or not) can send emails.

Did you used the same smtp username and password for different email addresses? or did you configured the same account for both users?

Administrator uses PHP setitings ==> working everywhere.
If I add user and put settings for SMTP==> not working??
Why I acan not use PHP setting everybody(every user).
